The weekend that we moved into the new house, our big boy turned 1! He was very spoiled with lots of birthday loot to open.

Week 27: Nearly 2 years after we bought the section, the house is finally finished and we are moved in!

Week 23: Most of the interior work is done: tiling, plumbing and electrical is complete and kitchen is in. Carpet is still to go down but we are nearly there!

Been very slack with updates lately, sorry!

We managed to do a bit of landscaping out the front while the house was still being built:

Charlotte loved helping!

A digger came to scrape out the driveway – wish we could have used that to dig out the path and paving areas as well!

This was as close as Daddy got to driving the digger.

Almost 2 years after the first big quake in September 2010, the road and footpaths of our end of Madras St are finally being repaired; though we are still very much in the “worse before it gets better” stage!

Week 17: Gib went up a couple of weeks ago; gib stoppers have been working hard ever since:

Over the past couple of weeks, Owen has been pulling himself up on anything and everything.

Week 14: Chris spent Anzac Day running around 600m of network, TV and speaker cable throughout the house.

That same week the first of the cladding went on!

A week later, and all of the cladding was finished! (except for the plaster coat over the concrete panel). Gib going on this week!!

Week 12: Roof is now on, and most of the windows and doors have been fitted.
